In keeping with Capital City Events' long-standing tradition of donating one event coordination each year to a worthy cause, has donated event coordination services to America's Foundation for Chess. They are a non-profit foundation based out of Washington whose mission is to "integrate chess as a learning tool in our nation's 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms in order to have an enduring impact on our students' critical thinking and social skills." The program in which they undertake this mission is called the "First Move Program."

Our event will be held March 20th at the Grove Hotel to celebrate the successful implementation of this program in Idaho schools. Governor Otter, Superintendent Tom Luna and Teacher of the Year, Carol Schulz will be just some of the official dignitaries at the event.
